Samsung pulled out an interesting thing in the Samsung Event and it launched the Samsung Galaxy Book S : A smartphone and laptop hybrid . This is what Samsung calls a new chapter in connectivity . The new Samsung Galaxy Book S is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx . The Qualcomm chipset is specifically designed for PC’s and has 40 percent greater CPU performance and a great bandwidth for a faster performace .

It has a 13.3 inch Full HD Display and runs on the latest Windows 10 . It is powered by 7 Nanometer 64 Bit Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor . It has a massive 42WH battery which can deliver upto 23 hours of video playback . It has 8GB RAM(LPDDR4X) with 256/512GB Internal storage variants and expandable via Micro SD slot (up to 1 TB) . It has 4G connectivity and comes with Bluetooth 5.0 , USB Type C and a fingerprint sensor .

It has all the qualities of a smartphone in a laptop . The camera is a 720p HD camera . It has Stereo speakers . It weights in at 960 grams and is slimmer than most laptops . The pricing starts at $999 for the 256 gb version . It comes in two colours : Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray . Shipping starts in September .
