Xiaomi launches Redmi 8A with 5000 mAh Battery, Snapdragon 439 with prices starting at Rs 6,499

Xiaomi unveiled their latest budget smartphone, Redmi 8A in an event in New Delhi . This is the first time Xiaomi has launched their A series in India before China . The Redmi 8A has a Dot Notch Display and a 6.2 Inch HD Display . The Redmi 8A also comes with “Aura Wave Grip Design” which would protect it against fingerprint marks and deliver a solid grip . 

The Redmi 8A is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 439 Octa Core Processor . The device would come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which would protect it against accidental drops . The Primary Rear camera is a 12 Megapixel Sony IMX 386 sensor . The Front Camera is a 8 Megapixel shooter which supports Face unlock. 

The phone comes with a massive 5000 mAh Battery which is a significant upgrade over the 4000 mAh battery of Redmi 7A . It also will support 18W Fast Charge . The device would run on Android Pie 9.0 out of the box . 

 

The Pricing for the Redmi 8A starts at Rs 6,499 for the 2 GB RAM + 32 GB internal storage . The 3 GB Ram + 32 GB internal storage would sell for Rs 6,999 . The device would be sold via Flipkart and Mi.com . The device would be available starting 30th September . It would be available in three colors : Black, Blue and Red .
