Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk announced on twitter that Pre-orders for Tesla’s Cybertrucks had reached 2,50,000 in just 5 days. Tesla has a great entrepreneur in Elon Musk and it potentially saves millions of dollars in marketing for the company. Elon Musk has been regularly updating the order numbers of the Cybertrucks on twitter ever since it came out.
The Cybertruck looks like a tank from a movie or a futuristic truck. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in as little as 2.9 seconds and with up to 500 miles of range. It has a 250 Mile-range on a single charge. It can carry 7,500 pounds of weight with it. The Vehicle would ship in 2021 and is up for preorder on Tesla’s website.
Tesla always unveils futuristic products and sets a 1 or 2-year date for shipping. It also helps the company to judge the demand and set the bar rolling for free advertising. Tesla has kept the pre-order amount as low as $100 and that too is fully refundable.
The Cybertruck would come in three variants: Single Motor RWD at $ 39,999, Dual Motor AWD at $49,990 and TRI Motor AWD at $ 69,990. Tesla has gotten 2,50,000 preorders and it would mean the company has 25 million dollars in the bank just from the orders. It would help the company fulfill inventory for its existing products.
The Orders for the Cybertruck suggest a strong backing for the vehicle and the price point. It also sends out a message to other automakers. Elon Musk is probably the biggest influencer on the planet and it definitely helps Tesla to sell out many of their products.
Tesla has priced the Cybertruck pretty well as the vehicle would cost $ 39,990 with no subsidies or incentives from the government. The only annoying thing about the Cybertruck is that it would begin shipping in 2021.
