Vivo is all set to launch a new smartphone series in India soon called the Vivo S series. Although, the company has not announced the name of smartphone, it will launch on August 7.
But it is expected that the Chinese brand may introduce Vivo S1 phone in India. The Key features of Vivo S1 global variant are MediaTek, Helio P65 processor, 4GB of RAM and Android Pie based operating system.
Vivo S1 features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display along with 1080×2340 pixelsresolution and a waterdrop-style notch design. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM.
The smartphone runs on
Funtouch OS 9.0, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie and it is backed up by a
4500mAh battery with dual-engine fast charging support. Vivo S1 has a triple
camera setup with a combination of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an
f/1.78 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens and a
2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. It comes with 32-megapixel AI
selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and it weighs 179 gram. Vivo has provided an in-display fingerprint sensor on the S1.
The Vivo Phone is will be priced in mid-range category of Rs 15,000- Rs 20,000 in India, projecting it at an affordable price with rich features and is aiming to compete with Samsung and Xiaomi in this price segment.
