Whatsapp has started rolling out its much awaited feature : Frequently Fowarded Label to the users in India . This feature would essentially help Whatsapp fight fake news and rumours that have plagued the image of the company in the eyes of the governments . This feature has been currently launched in India to android as well as iOS users . The details about the roll out to other countries are awaited .
The feature helps the users to know if any message has been forwarded frequently or more than 5 times . The Frequently forwarded label will appear if any message has been forwarded to users more than 5 times . The feature would indicate a double arrow just above the message to indicate to users . The users also will get the message telling them that the message has been forwarded many times when they forward the message .
Whatsapp has been in the news for a lot of things and rumours have been floating around regarding new features . It would be interesting to see if radical changes are being implemented any time soon . Whatsapp will soon introduce Whatsapp Pay in India to make payments to anyone in the Country .
