Xiaomi sells 5.3 million devices during its “Diwali with Mi” sale

According to a report published by Xiaomi’s Data Center, Xiaomi sold 5.3 million devices during the 7 Day Online Festive Carnival. Xiaomi collectively sold 5.3 million units of smartphones, TV’s and its other IoT devices on Amazon, Flipkart, and MI.com. This feat is again historic as Xiaomi continues to dominate the Indian smartphone market.

Xiaomi also sold 3.8 million smartphones with significant sale numbers coming from budget smartphones such as Redmi 7A, Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. New TV’s and Redmi 8A helped Xiaomi to beat the competition once again. The Online Festive Sales would continue on Flipkart and Amazon from 12th October onwards.

Prices for most devices would be the same in the upcoming sale as well. There would be bank offers for additional discounts on all smartphones. The Xiaomi growth story has been phenomenal but other brands are catching up. Realme sold 2.2 million smartphones and continues to be the best selling brand on Flipkart.

Consumers are the sole winners when it comes to smartphone battles between huge brands. Xiaomi has gained significant market share due to its wide array of other products as well such as its Smart TVs and Wearables. Despite its huge growth, Xiaomi has yet not introduced its much-awaited Laptops.

Vivo and Samsung also fared pretty well during the Big Sales of Amazon and Flipkart. Vivo U10 and Samsung M30S remained the best sellers for the respective brands. It would be interesting to see who will emerge as the top smartphone in the days ahead.
